I tried this once before when my blog was just a baby and ZERO people signed up. Did I let it stop me from blogging? No! Did I let it damage my ego? No! (Well, maybe just a tad…) So now that my blog has become world famous (I’m read in Africa, doncha know), I’ll try again.
Here’s how it’s going to work. I will create and send a homemade gift to three people who comment that they are interested in playing along. (The people will be selected through the random number generator if I get more interest than just 3 people.)
Now let’s not pretend that I’m some crafty woman over here. I won’t lie and say that you’re going to receive the most fabulous knitted tea cozy made of bamboo yarn because: a. I suck at knitting, b. I don’t know what a tea cozy is, and c. this is supposed to be a fun affordable (or even free) project.
To qualify:
1. You need to have a blog (so that you can do this on your blog too–you can cut and paste my entry and tweak as necessary).
2. You must write a post and offer to send your own items to three of your readers. (This means you will have to pay the postage to mail the stuff so you may want to limit it to your country only but by the same token, others will pay postage to mail stuff to you.)
3. I’m not putting restrictions on what the homemade gift can be. Maybe some crafty magnets or note cards? Homemade soaps or candles? If you suck at all things crafty, maybe you can jot down a few of your most tried-and-true recipes on recipe cards and tie them with a ribbon. Feel free to be creative and don’t chicken out because you’re not Martha. So few of us are.
So, let’s see if we can bring some fun and free stuff to YOUR mailbox. I’ll pick my ‘Pay-it-foward’ recipients on Tuesday night, 9pm EST.
And if I get zero responses to THIS version of PIF, I’ve got another idea that I will move on to. I’m going to do a book/novel PIF in which I will post some books that I don’t want anymore and if you’re interested, you can let me know. The caveat is you have to list some books on your site to give away too.

I’ve tried this twice now. First time, nothing. Second time I got a friend and some gal in France! That was kind of cool. I’ve been on the receiving end twice now, but I’ve yet to actually receive anything.
