I'm pretty sure we were JC Penney wish book people, but the idea is the same. I need one of those things now, as I'm expected to come home in a week with a pageful of Christmas ideas for the fam. Somehow my idea of a giftless Christmas never goes over with them.

I pretty much thought I would die if I didn't get an easy bake oven (p.s. I never did) We received the wish book and coveted everything on Saturday morning cartoon commercial time.

I am sad to admit that I only cared for toys which required a large amount of organizing... no barbies or CPK for me... though I did get giddy over getting Barbie's travel agency, in which my obsession with filing began.

We may have gotten wish books, but I wasn't really interested in any of that.

I've moved many times.

1) Edison, NJ to South Brunswick in the middle of my soph year with family

2) NJ to Atlanta (all around) with family

3) Atlanta to Albuquerque (alone) and absolutely loved it. I made the move friend-less, job-less and home-less and ended up doing just fine.

4) Albuquerque to LA (to be with hubs). Love it, but do prefer my cities to be a little smaller.

I don't miss family, but then again, I was never all that close. I do miss friends though.

It is so funny you posted about this, we are contemplating another move. You know how I feel about this subject, I love living near family, but you find great friends (you and Jen and Holly) when you put yourself out there and live in new interesting places. When I was growing up, I never ever thought about leaving WI, but I am so glad I did!
